Group's posts with tag: tags

What are tags? You can give your posts a "tag", which is like a keyword. Tags help you find content which has something in common. You can assign as many tags as you wish to each post.

Put a scrollbar on HOMEPAGE BOXES:

div#mainbox_ (NUMBER depends on the positioning of boxes in the Home Page)

div#mainbox_ (NUMBER depends on the Position of boxes in the Home Page)
number 1 for the first box
number 2 for the second box
etc. etc..

as for an example, the site of babatom, the music box is placed 4th on the HOMEPAGE..
1 - Welcome Box
2 - Photos Box
3 - Videos Box
4 - Music Box

so the code is:

div#mainbox_4 .itembox {
overflow-y: auto;
height:200px;
}

For the Guestbook, there's another Option:

#home_guestbook .replybox {
overflow:auto;
}

Put Scroll on the TAG LIST:

div#mainbox_1 div.relatedlinks {
width:780px;
height: 600px;
overflow-x:auto;
width: 780px;
overflow-y: auto;
}

Customizable tag boxes
Screenshot of Tagged Content Box edit dialogIf you use the "Boxes" homepage layout (as opposed to "Linear"), you can now create new boxes on your homepage that display content based on the tags you've given them.

That's right, in addition to the usual boxes like "Photos" and "Videos," you can now mix and match tags to your heart's content... and display your creations on your Multiply homepage. If you ever wished for a box displaying your latest posts related to, say, business, pirates and trees, this feature makes your wish come true.

To set this up, just click the familiar "Customize Site" link on your homepage, and follow this with the aptly-titled "Add Tagged Content Box" link. You'll get a pop-up that you can use to set the options for your box -- particularly what should be displayed (pick one or more tags), and how it should be displayed (box title, number of entries to display). Once you've created your box, you can manipulate it like any other content type box: drag it around, hide it, edit it... And here's the best part: you can make multiple tag boxes!

Customizable tag clouds
We've also added a new option for the way you display tags on your homepage. Rather than displaying your entire tag cloud at the end of your Welcome Message, you can now save space by choosing to only display a limited number of tags. And if you're the administrator of a group, you now have this setting available to you within your group!

Also customizable: original video download setting
On a completely different note, we've had a number of users ask for a way to disable the "Download Original" links for videos they've posted, as you can with photos. Starting now, this is possible. Make sure you've enabled Advanced Posting for your account, and you'll find this option whenever uploading a video, or editing one already uploaded.

So, how are you planning on using these new features? Do you already have custom boxes in mind? Are you planning on going the more extreme route, completely replacing your normal boxes with custom tag boxes?

Feeling envy of the older users that have a Recipe or Market section but you don't? Feel no more... With the Tagged Content boxes you can do almost the same.

How does it work? Simple: it will create a new box in your main page with all the entries you have with a selected tag or tags. For example, if you want to have a Recipes section, create blog entries with the tag 'recipes' and then create a Tagged Content box to group these entries.

From the official Multiply blog:

INSTRUCTONS on ADDING a TAGGED CONTENT BOX:
  • Go to your Home Page
  • Click: Customize My Site
  • From the Dropdown Menu (at the TOP pf the page), select "Add Tagged Content Box"
  • A pop-up window will appear.
    • Set your Title
    • Select the "show as" type
    • Finally, pick the TAGS you want to include in the selection (BOX)
  • Save.

**If you feel comfortable with HTML and CSS, you can even add the new boxes to the navigation menu. Just follow the instructions found in this entry from the Modify group (where you can find more info about customizing your page too):
